I am a mother, a sister, and a daughter. I am the fourth generation to serve in the United States Military. I am American via the Trans-Atlantic slave trade over 500 years ago. I am a descendant of survival via a Native American women from the Appalachian Mountains. I am a descendent of strength via a woman of the Mende tribe from Sierra Leone, which historically originated from the 13th century Mali Empire. I am the beneficiary of legacy via a man of the Bamileke tribe of Cameroon, which historically originated from the Nile Valley Egypt around the 11th century. I am honored to be the child of all the ancestors before me. I am a lifelong learner and teacher. I am a painter. I am a sculptor. I am an artist, I am that I am ... and I'm sensitive about my ish.
